Due to some technology gremlins the content of this blog has been taken offline.  We are trying to bring it back online and will do so in phases over the coming days...

    We are back...

    Mixed results: Good news is that 150 posts have been restored. We are still missing a few which are now lost. Bad news is that we have not been able to restore the comments in an automated fashion and it's very time consuming to do this manually. So we've taken a decision to not restore the old comments. This was not an easy decision, since we value highly the comments from our readers, but it's a cost/benefit decision.

    Some links may be incorrect but we have tried to restore them all. If you find any broken links while reading - please be kind enough to add a comment and we'll fix it as soon as we can.
